From Gidangarai, we then took the same road again through Salavakkam which took us to the Puthagathurai-Uthiramerur road, turned left (east) towards the Puthagathurai juntion at Chenni-Trichy NH, reached Puthagathurai, turned right (south) and travelled through NH to the Padalam junction.
